Boulder Stays Trim & Thin

According to the associated press, the first county by county obesity rates shows that Boulder County is among the nation's thinnest.
Using 2007 data, it is reported that less than 13% of people in Boulder were obese.  Only about 4% reported diabetes.  Type 2 diabetes is closely tied to obesity.
The survey showed obesity rates were highest in counties in the southeast and Appalachia.  Some counties in Alabama and Mississippi reported more than 40% were obese.
Denver County had an obesity rate of about 16.3%.
